How we do it

Communicative Methodology in 6 levels of learning

Communicative Methodology

Based on our mission, vision and values, we base our teaching philosophy on the determination to make our students proficient and confident in the language.

This philosophy is based on the Communicative Approach (Natural Assimilation), which states that the learner should be exposed to real-life communicative situations that usually happens in which real-life contexts – both personal and professional – the foreign language is used. Such contexts require the development of listening comprehension, verbal expression, written comprehension and written expression.

Therefore, our methodology advocates the use of classroom activities that dialogue with real language uses and needs, i.e., bringing real life into the teaching-learning environment. This is facilitated by a Needs Assessment of each student, and by the use of human, didactic, and technological resources that facilitate the student’s interaction with other speakers and mediate the development of all communicative competence dimensions – grammatical, sociolinguistic, discursive, and pragmatic competence.

Language Assessment and Learning Style

The placement tests are designed to measure language knowledge in the following skills: Listening Comprehension, Grammar in Speech, Writing, Reading, Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Fluency and Adequacy. The evaluation process consists of two steps: The first, to be completed through the site, involves multiple choice questions and a writing essay. In the second stage, comprehension and oral expression are evaluated by one of our teachers. Select the language of interest below and start the first stage of our test right away! Afterwards, we will contact you to schedule the speaking test.
