Auding Curso de Idiomas

We started with one simple belief:

The human voice
is the most powerful
instrument for transformation.

Auding: the practice of listening to, recognizing, and interpreting spoken language.

More than a name — a philosophy.
And it was with that philosophy that, in 1975, Marli Martins opened the doors to a school unlike anything else in Rio de Janeiro.

An English and German teacher by training, Marli spotted a gap the market had completely overlooked: executives, leaders, and professionals who needed real language skills — not classroom theory. So she got in her VW Beetle and went to them. Company by company, neighborhood by neighborhood, she drove across Rio delivering tailor-made lessons to people who had no time to waste.

It wasn’t long before the Beetle became a headquarters — a townhouse in Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, that turned into a vibrant cultural hub. There, learning English or Spanish (or any other language) could happen in a pub, at an art exhibition, or at a jazz night. From day one, Auding was teaching the world that languages are learned through immersion, context, and real connection.

That conviction made Auding a pioneer in corporate immersion programs in Brazil, serving companies like Serpro, Bosch, Unisys, Roche, Petrobras, and hundreds more that understood fluency isn’t built from textbooks.

Today, based in Barra da Tijuca and serving students online around the world, we carry more than fifty years of history — but our mindset is the same as the day it all began: methods that work, for people who can’t afford to waste time.

Teaching must break free from outdated, traditional methodologies and deliver real, short-term results tailored to each student’s goals.

Methodology & Differentiators

Learning a language is the easy part

The hard part is finding a methodology that respects who you already are.

Pillar 1
Andragogy & Neuroscience
Your brain is an asset, not an obstacle.

There’s a myth that adults learn worse than children.
Neuroscience disproves it every day.

The adult brain learns differently — more selectively, more intentionally, more connected to lived experience. That’s exactly how we design every lesson at Auding.

Grounded in the principles of andragogy — the science of adult learning developed by Malcolm Knowles — and the latest findings in cognitive neuroscience, our method is built on three premises:

Adults learn when they understand the why; when new knowledge connects to what they already know; and when they see results in real life — fast.

Our students are encouraged to put themselves out there, make mistakes in a safe environment, and improve with consistency.

Mistakes aren't punishment. They're the raw material of learning.
Pillar 2
International CEFR Standard

Every level you reach is recognized worldwide.

The learning journey at Auding follows the CEFR — the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages — the international standard adopted by most universities, multinationals, and hiring processes.

Every stage of your development is measurable, clear, and globally comparable — from A1 to C2.

You know exactly where you are. You know where you want to go. And you know what it takes to get there.

No vague reassurances. No “you’re doing great.” Just real criteria, concrete goals, and visible progress.

Pillar 3
Active Learning Methodologies

Lectures don’t build confident people and global leaders. Experience does.

At Auding, the language is never the destination — it’s the vehicle.

Case studies — you analyze real-world corporate scenarios and make decisions in your target language. You learn to think, argue, and lead in another tongue.

Critical thinking — our lessons challenge you. You don’t just repeat set phrases; you build positions, debate ideas, and develop genuine linguistic independence.

Soft skills development — assertive communication, active listening, emotional intelligence, and leadership presence are built alongside the language itself. Because the global market doesn’t hire fluency — it hires people who know how to communicate with impact.

Simulations and role plays — meetings, presentations, negotiations, interviews. You practice before you need to. When the real moment comes, you’ve already been there.

Pillar 4
Genuine Personalization

A program built for you — not for a classroom.

Every Auding student begins with a full linguistic audit and goals assessment. From there, the study plan is custom-designed: pace, content, format, and progress metrics all shaped around your reality.

Do you have an important presentation in three months? A business trip? An interview with a multinational? We work backwards — from your goal to your plan.

Time is the one resource nobody gives back. At Auding, every lesson is designed so you spend less of it and get more out of it.

Learning Management Cycle

At Auding, there’s no “figure it out yourself.” There’s a structured, human, and ongoing process to make sure you genuinely improve.

01
Listen

Before we teach, we listen. We want to understand your goals, your relationship with the language, and your actual routine. Because a good program starts with you — not a textbook.

02
Assess

We measure where you are with precision and zero judgment — across all four language skills and your learning style. That way, no lesson is generic. Every hour you invest has a purpose.

03
Plan

With your profile in hand, we build the ideal program: strategies, content, lesson plan, and the right instructor for your goals. Everything designed to fit your life — not the other way around.

04
Execute & Track

This is where most schools disappear. At Auding, it’s where we get closer. Weekly supervision, progress reports, reassessments, and continuous content updates. You’ll never have to wonder “am I actually improving?” — because the answer will be right in front of you.

Learning management isn’t red tape.
It’s what makes sure this time it actually works.

What We Believe

We believe no one should miss an opportunity just because they couldn’t find the right words.

We believe learning a language isn’t starting over — it’s building on everything you’ve already achieved.

We believe your voice doesn’t have to be perfect. It has to be authentic.

And we believe, deeply, that you already have everything you need to begin.

Your story with the world starts with a conversation.

FAQ

Here you’ll find the most common questions about our methodology, journey, and results. Didn’t find what you were looking for? Talk to our team.

Our focus is immediate communicative confidence. Through active methodologies and real-life simulations, you start building your repertoire and shedding the fear of speaking from your very first lesson. While full fluency timelines vary with dedication, speaking confidence is our number one priority. On average, students take 80 to 100 hours of immersion to complete each proficiency level.

The duration is defined by your goal — not a fixed package. A professional who needs to be ready for English meetings in three months has a very different journey from someone starting from scratch and wanting to get by on an international trip.

What we guarantee is that every lesson has a clear purpose within your plan. You can move faster, adjust the frequency of your classes, or redirect the focus as your life evolves. The pace is yours.

It’s our starting point — and what sets us apart. Before anything begins, we run a deep diagnostic to understand your current level, background, goals, learning style, and routine. From there, we design a tailored learning path with clear milestones. Nothing generic. Everything built for you.

You’ll feel it — and you’ll see it. Throughout the journey, we apply regular checkpoints to measure your progress in real-world situations, not grammar tests. You also receive direct feedback after every lesson and a monthly progress report that shows clearly where you started and where you are now.

Because most schools teach the language itself. Auding teaches you how to use it. The difference is in the starting point: before any lesson, we understand who you are, what you need, and in which situations you need to communicate.

There’s no one-size-fits-all formula here. There’s a journey built around your reality — with simulations of what you’ll actually experience, direct feedback, and adjustments lesson by lesson. It’s hard to quit when what you’re practicing actually makes sense for your life.

Yes — children and adults alike, as long as they have a real reason to learn.

Auding works with individuals and companies, with entirely different journeys for each profile. It doesn’t matter if you’re starting from scratch or already have a base and just need to unlock it.

The only learner Auding isn’t the right fit for is someone looking for a generic, fixed-syllabus course with no personalization. If that’s what you want, there are other options out there. If you want real results, we have a lot to talk about.
